The web host provider houses your blog, it is a remote computer where your website resides. There are two essential things that you need to know about web hosting, bandwidth and the disk space. Disk space is the storage limit that you rent from the web host provider. Bandwidth on the other hand is the amount of data transferred to or from the website or server within a prescribed period of time. It is the limit of how much visitors your site can take within a month. The cost of the web host provider depends on the storage you want to rent and the bandwidth of your website. Usually, the price of the bandwidth cost much higher with the storage capacity.
The amount of bandwidth that you should purchase must be enough to support the monthly visitors of your site. You do not want your site to go down because you have exceeded with your bandwidth limit. You’ll not only loose some money but also the visitors. A 100MB, 2GB storage is enough for blog starters. You could always upgrade your blog’s limit when it became a hit.
Choose a webhost provider that have at least a 24/7 support and also available. For you’ll never know when you’ll have a problem. You must not let your blog down for even half a day. But my advice is, choose a web host provider that is local. I understand that not all of the aspiring bloggers have credit cards or paypal accounts. So ask around!
