Make money online without owning a blog
Making money online without ever owning a blog is possible. Because owning a blog is not an assurance that you are going to earn from it. Getting a blog is simple and fast, but monetizing it is a different thing. Only a handful earns from their blog with a 5-digit or 6-digit income. I’m sure almost every blogger dreams of becoming to be one. Also, having a talent in writing is not an assurance that your blog will succeed. There are a lot of factors to be considered. Or you just do not have yet have the time of setting up one. Good thing, there are a lot of online opportunities wherein you could earn some money online.
1. Paid to surf
A user is asks by the paid to surf company to download their software program in their personal computers. The software program places the paid to surf own advertisements on the user’s browser while he or she surfs the internet. A user is typical paid $0.50 per hour of online browsing. A single user can only browse a maximum of 20 hours per day.
Risks – There are a lot of paid to surf companies that neglects to pay their users or just disappear. When you are signing up for this, choose wisely. Also, read their Terms and Conditions thoroughly as you may not know what other information they are extracting from you through their software. Be cautious.
2. Social networking account
Who would have thought that having a social networking account such as Friendster, Hi5 and MySpace would bring you some money online. If you have more than 20,000 friends in your list, you could charge $2 for every bulletin that you post.
Risks – Your friends might be annoyed because you are flooding their bulletins. Having more than 20,000 friends takes some time. However, you could sign up with 5 different social networks in order to attain this number
3. Forum
Both forum owner and forum poster could earn from this. For forum owners, as the site’s administrator, they could send mass e-mail to their members. As a forum poster, they could either promote a product through posting or through signature links. The more you post, the higher you will earn. As your post count increases, the value of your signature links increases as well.
Risks – For forum owners, make it a point that what you are e-mailing is related to your forum. Or else, your members would leave.
4. Paid surveys
There are two types of paid surveys program, the ones that will pay you for every survey that you take, and the other one, will give you an entry ticket on a sweepstake. Now you decide on what survey type you want to do.
Risks – You must be really lucky to win and patience my dear.
5. Participate in contest
Some blog contests does not require you to have a blog, but most probably an email address so that you could subscribe in their blog. The contest prizes can be cash, premium themes, blog, hosting and more. Just like this blog, I got this from a contest, along with the hosting.
Risks - Chance of winning
6. Emails
Just like in social networking, you could offer your email services to promote a product or services. Just don’t go way overboard. Spamming is punishable by law
Risks - You need to have at least 1,000 email of your friends. There’s a huge chance your friends might be annoyed with this strategy.
7. Design
If you have an eye for creativity and talent in creating logos, cartoons and all, why don’t you offer your services as a designer. You can find clients in forums such as Digital Point and SitePoint. There are a lot of $$$ logo contest you can find there. Aside from creating logos, you could also design a wordpress template or any website design. You don’t necessarily need to learn php in order to earn from this. There are a lot of people who are interested in buying psd files or the so called uncoded themes. You could make money out of this either by selling the template or selling links in the template.
Risks - Competition with other designers.
I would probably go with joining online contest to make money online without owning a blog. I’m just too lazy to do everything else that is on the list. In joining contest, everything can be possible. Just like me winning this blog and hosting services. I’ve also won a Wordpress Revolution theme but I’m reserving it for something else.

I earn regularly well almost daily from forum posting and I got 532 bucks from clicking in Isabelmarco this morning and yesterday I started a blog which is going to pay me every day for each post which is brilliant. This month I earned 750 bucks online so far, not bad but I want to get it over 1,000 at least.

Great write-up! I agree to this: owning a blog is not an assurance that you are going to earn from it. Every business has its ups and downs and needs to work hard for in order to achieve what you call “success”.

I know some people have had success with the programs you’ve listed. Personally, I’ve profited more from paid reviews than anything else. I’ve tried several and dropped them for one reason or another mostly because they make things too difficult for publishers. Even PayPerPost has gone downhill in my opinion. But there are still good places to write about a wide variety of things and get paid good money for.
