My aunt invited me last summer to spend my vacation in the US. She said that she will pay for my airfare and lodging. I was so ecstatic with the news. Having a vacation for free is an opportunity. But unfortunately, I didn’t get my US tourist visa. The consul said I have not yet established a strong career.
Too bad, I’ve missed the opportunity to visit my grandfather who is currently in homecare in Fort Lauderdale FL. The last time I’ve seen him was when he went home to visit us in the Philippines two years ago. So I guess we’ll go back in writing letters then. My grandfather is not pro technology so we are still in old school communication of snail mail. I’m glad that even though we can’t be with him at the moment, he is currently happy together with his friends in the home care. How the professional workers there provided him tremendous care and attention.

I’m sorry you missed your opportunity. Have you thought of getting him something “simple” that maybe just does email and or instant messenger?
There are devices around for those, where you don’t need to learn a whole computer.
