I mainly comment on other people’s blogs because I like to add to the community. I like to get out there and share my ideas with others.

Most folks comment on other blogs mainly because they like getting back-links and more traffic. I focus on providing good comments rather than hunting the traffic benefit… lol

Plus one to the dofollow. Ever since i changed my blog to dofollow, i noticed an increase in comments, well readers are really encouraged if they know that commenting would help them have a backlink while the publisher knows that it makes the discussion alive., either way you look at it its a win win situation.
