So why do you need to take this blog vitamins? Like I always say, it’s not enough for bloggers to right amazing posts after another. You have to consider blog promotion, blog monetization and how to keep your visitors. You have to balance all of these for your blog to be healthy. In return, your blog will have an increase in returning visitors and enjoy huge traffic. If your site has huge traffic, you could make more money from it.

If you regularly take these blog vitamins, your blog will enjoy the following things:

Blog will live longer – some blog are just alive for a week, day or months then become inactive afterwards. Reality check, blogging is not an easy thing to do. Writing a quality single blog posts could take you a while and requires a lot of effort.

Blog will look stunning - having an eye-catching theme or layout is not enough for your blog to look healthier. Your site needs to load quickly and site advertisements must be properly laid out. Pop-up or one page ads should be avoided. You could use the following tools to check your site’s loading speed

Blog income oppotunities – You need money in order to maintain your site. Almost every goal of the bloggers is to make money from their blogs. Taking the blog vitamins will give you unlimited monetization opportunities.

Blog is alive and kicking – People come to your blog and they truly, deeply appreciate it that they will always come back for more

Vitamins have variations and each has their own specialty. Like in our body, we do not need to take vitamins for our eyes but the body as a whole. We need to take a lot of vitamins as well in order to nourish different aspects of blogging. You have to balance all things out in order for your blog to live healthier and longer. I love the advice you are giving and have seen an increase in traffic by joining Mybloglog, Blogcatalog and doing lots of digging as I downloaded the toolbar and now I am getting fans on digg etc. I also added two polls for both blogs and next month I am going to start contests with my own branded products. This way people will get to recognize my logo too.
If you put the work in it pays. I won 150 bucks bonus award last month for the effort I made on my green not mean blog and that has really got me going!

in-line text ads im thinking stuff like kontera here imho are not worth it as they are intrusive with a low pay rate per click.

The key for link building is contests etc. though and while Pay Per Post etc can bring in income, the best way to monetise is to write good content so your site grows and thne sell the banners privately (or using OIO)

  8. for blog monetization section, I’d add tracking and testing. It’s not only about placing monetization units (text ads, banners, etc), but also track what position on the blog converts best AND what offer gives you bets results.

I like that you have put commenting as the top bullet under promotion. Most bloggers think that just writing posts is enough and dont spend enough time to read others blogs and leave comments.

I like the way you have drawn parallels between blogging and human health. Yup blogs need vitamins too!

Getting good content on a blog can be challenge and content vitamin :-) in this case is PLR and outsourced articles. That way you can spend less time putting content on a blog, and more focus on monetization.
