What defines a successful blog? Is it the number of subscribers or the income the blog generates? If you ask five bloggers this question, you are going to get five different answers but all of them are correct. This is because the blog success is defined by the blog owner itself. It actually depends on the goal that the blog owner sets.
Like for example, my other blog has very high traffic and yet it generates low income, I still do not consider it a success. Or it has low RSS subscribers; I still don’t care as long as it generates me a decent income. My goal in that blog is to make money out of it. If it doesn’t, it is still not yet a success so I have to work harder.
On the other hand, I would define this blog a success if I will be able to achieve my goal this month. I didn’t set it too high because I have a lot of things going on with my life. At first, I do not intend to focus on this blog but as time passed by, I fell in love with Blogging from Scratch. I love writing and I would love to improve my writing skills. I’m not a full time blogger but I’ll try to make at least 2 posts every week.
My advice to you is if you don’t have a blog goal now, better write a list of it now and post it to your blog. It will certainly inspire you to continue blogging and gives you a direction on where you want to go.
